So although here in Montreal we still have a foot of snow on the ground, I am thinking positive, that is of positive celsius weather! Hehe...
With the warmer weather, comes soggy parks, puddle filled walks and flooded streets. And when you have kids who think that is nothing but pure awesomeness, you have no choice but to keep up!
So, I am in the market for the perfect pair of rain boots. I have bad luck with rain boots and seem to go through a pair each year. Now, I know celebs are really feeling those Hunter Boots, but that's a heck a of a lot of money ($160) to spend on something you're gonna be waddling through marshy fields in...
That being said, I don't want to be seen in public wearing a cheap ugly pair either.
Say NO to printed rain boots!
Fortunately, there are plenty of cheap and decent looking alternatives out there.
I found an great equestrian inspired pair at Yellow that I am loving. I've never really considered Yellow for shoes/boots before, but they've surprised me! The boots are the perfect balance between functional and cute. And the great thing about rain boots is that they're so easy to wear; at least when they're not a crazy pattern!
Rain boots make looking good on a weekend of puddle loving fun with the kids is surprisingly easy. If you don't already own these items, you can get the whole outfit fully accessorized for under $160 including the boots!

This outfit is fun, easy and it's on trend. Let your hair down or tie it up in a bun with minimal makeup and you're good to splash around, walk the dog and browse at the mall (or you know, Costco on a Saturday).
What do you think of rain boots? Could you see yourself in this outfit?
